When you ask Agrondo to identify a plant, the photo goes first to a small service we run, which passes it to PlantNet and hands the answer back. It works this way so the key that authenticates us to PlantNet is not shipped inside the app, where anyone could read it out of the download and spend our quota.
Along with the image we send your app language, so the common names come back in the language you read, and an identifier for your installation of the app. That identifier is how we count identifications against the monthly limit on the free tier. It is generated by iOS, is not your name or your Apple Account, cannot be traced back to you, and resets if you delete the app. Our service keeps only a running count of identifications per installation for the current month, which expires on its own. It does not store your photos, and neither the photo nor the identifier is used for any other purpose.
Your photo is then handled by PlantNet under their own privacy terms. If you would rather send nothing at all, do not use plant identification. Everything else in the app works without it.
To show a forecast for your land, the app sends the coordinates being displayed to Open-Meteo. No identifier, no account and no other data goes with the request, and Open-Meteo has no way to tie it to you. If you never open a weather view, no coordinates are sent.
Fields and parcels you draw, areas, crops, seasons, sprays, seeding, harvests, journal entries, costs, revenue and the photos you attach are stored on your device with Apple's SwiftData. They stay there. We hold no copy, run no database of your records and cannot read them.
The app does not currently sync to iCloud. That means your records live on the one device that created them, so use your normal iPhone backup if you want them preserved. Deleting the app deletes them.
Agrondo asks for location while you are using the app so it can centre the map on you and help you draw field boundaries accurately. The locations you save are stored with your fields on your device. The only time coordinates leave the phone is the weather request in section 4, and those are the coordinates of the map view, not a record of where you have been. We never receive them.
Agrondo asks for camera access so you can photograph a plant or document field work, and for photo library access so you can pick an existing image. Photos stay on your device unless you specifically use plant identification, covered in section 3.
When the app crashes or freezes, iOS records a report through Apple's MetricKit and hands it back to the app on the next launch. Agrondo keeps the most recent of these on your device, along with a short list of errors it recovered from. Nothing is transmitted automatically. They leave your phone only if you choose to contact support from Settings, which attaches them to an email you can read and edit before sending.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. Payment happens inside the App Store and we never see your card, your address or your Apple Account. The app only learns whether a subscription is currently active.

Reports you export as PDF or CSV are generated on your device and go wherever you choose to send them. Once you share a file, it is governed by whatever service you shared it through.
Agrondo is a professional tool, is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your data stays under your control. Revoke camera, photo or location access at any time in iOS Settings. Stop using plant identification and the weather view to stop every outbound transfer. Delete the app to erase your records.
Under the GDPR, our legal basis is your consent, given through the iOS permission prompts and withdrawable at any time. Because we hold no personal data about you, there is no account to access, correct or export. To ask about the identification counter tied to your installation, write to us and we will delete it.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
